COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS TRAVEL UPDATE

We understand that the COVID-19 Coronavirus is currently causing concern to travellers and we thank all of our loyal customers for their patience and understanding during these unprecedented events. We are monitoring the situation daily and will keep all travellers informed about any changes to their holiday plans. Our team will provide all travellers with any available options for your holiday.

A travel ban on overseas travel is currently in place for all Australians.

The current COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted global travel to an unprecedented extent. A travel ban is currently in place for all Australians from 25 March 2020 until further notice. If you are currently overseas, the Department of Foreign Affairs recommends returning back to Australia as soon as possible.

Travelled recently?

Border closures & quarantine restrictions are currently in place between some Australian states. We recommend checking regarding any restrictions prior to travelling as it may affect your holiday or return. More information is available here.

Please note that we will deny boarding to any customers who have any COVID-19 symptoms including fever, cough, sore throat & shortness of breath as well as those who have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case. We will also deny boarding to any customers who have travelled to Victoria or any COVID-19 hotspot within 14 days of departure.

We also ask that all customers with the above conditions refrain from visiting our store to help our team remain COVIDSafe.

AUSTRALIAN DOMESTIC TOURING UPDATE

Due to the current border closures & COVID-19 restrictions, a number of tours have been suspended.

Please see the list of tours below that have been affected.

    LIST OF AFFECTED TOURS

  • Breakaways:
    Our Breakaway tours visiting Victoria have been rescheduled for early 2021.
    All departures are now available for bookings.
  • Tours to Broome & the Kimberley:
    Due to the WA border closure, departures for 2020 have been cancelled.
    2021 departures are now available for bookings.
  • Queensland Luxury Experiences:
    Due to COVID-19 restrictions, departures for 2020 have been cancelled.
    2021 departures are now available for bookings.
  • Rail Holidays to Longreach & Cape York:
    Due to COVID-19 restrictions, departures for 2020 have been cancelled.
    2021 departures are now available for bookings.
  • Day tours in Melbourne & Sydney:
    All day tours have been suspended until 31 December 2020.
    Bookings are now open for all 2021 departures.

    All travellers on affected tours will be contacted regarding their available options, including:

  • Rebooking on a new departure date at no additional cost, or rebook on any of our other tours. Any amounts paid will be transferred to your new tour booking, or
  • Receive a Future Travel Credit for the value of any amounts paid to use towards any of our tours departing before 31 December 2021.
  • Any third-party charges such as airline policies may still apply.

All other tours are currently scheduled to operate.

NEW ZEALAND TOURING UPDATE

Due to the current border closures, our New Zealand tours have been suspended until 30 September 2020.

    All travellers on affected tours will be contacted regarding their available options, including:

  • Rebooking on a new departure date at no additional cost, or rebook on any of our other tours. Any amounts paid will be transferred to your new tour booking, or
  • Receive a Future Travel Credit for the value of any amounts paid to use towards any of our tours departing before 31 December 2021.
  • Any third-party charges such as airline policies may still apply.

We will continue to monitor the advice of health authorities & governments and will advise you of any changes that may impact your trip with us as soon as possible.

OBERAMMERGAU PASSION PLAY POSTPONED

Updated Friday, 20 March 2020.

As a result of the current coronavirus situation, the Oberammergau Passion Play has been postponed to 2022.

We have therefore been forced to postpone a number of trips for the Passion Play to 2022.

    Options for affected travellers

  • You can choose to rebook onto our new departure date in 2022, or
  • Receive a Future Travel Credit for the value of any amounts paid to use towards any of our tours departing before 30 June 2021.Any third-party charges such as airline change fees may still apply.

UPDATE FOR ALL OTHER HOLIDAYS

Information for all other holidays

As a result of the current coronavirus situation, most airlines & operators have responded by cancelling or suspending holiday arrangements during this time.

Most of our suppliers are offering revised cancellation & amendment conditions and options to postpone your holiday as well as offering Future Travel Credits to use towards future holidays. These updated conditions vary for each of our suppliers and may only apply to selected booking departure dates. Please contact us for more details on the conditions that apply to your holiday.

Our suppliers are continually monitoring the advice provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO), Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) and the Centre for Disease Control (CDC).

If you have booked a holiday and it is impacted by a travel restriction, we will assist you by working with the airlines & our suppliers to provide you with the best available options including incentives & Future Travel Credits.

In most cases, our suppliers are waiving fees to change your travel dates & postpone your holiday. However, normal cancellation fees may apply if you choose to cancel your holiday outright.

Most of our suppliers are currently offering flexible conditions to allow you to book your next holiday with confidence.

These include options to change your travel dates, extended payment conditions & other options.

Some of our suppliers have also introduced Cancellation Protection options which can be added at the time of booking to minimise any losses.
