We enjoy a relaxing lunch at this iconic and historic hotel with beautiful River views before continuing to Renmark and then on to the City of Mildura. We tour to Mildura which was one of the first irrigation settlements established in Australia which turned the Desert to an amazing Citrus and Grape growing Centre. Dinner & overnight Mildura.

After our cruise we have time to visit the Historic Home, of the City Founder, WB Chaffey who established the area as the first irrigation colony in Victoria. The home is now a museum still furnished in the period of the day and includes many interesting items from the past. Dinner tonight in the Motel Restaurant.
Day 3: Mungo National Park and the ‘Walls of China’ & tour to the Silver City (BLD)
Today, we learn the secrets of the famous Mungo Man and take in the majesty of the iconic Walls of China. After breakfast, today we tour into NSW by crossing the Mildura Bridge to Buronga. We join the Arumpo Road to Mungo National Park. On arrival at the Visitor Centre, we learn some of the stories relating to the Dreamtime period – where over 40 thousand relics have been discovered! The ancient Inland Sea was an important part of human survival for the original people in the harsh land. During our visit here a Picnic lunch will be provided. In 1974, the discovery of the remains which have become known as the ‘Mungo Man’ created worldwide interest. The bones which have been dated as 62,000 years old have completely changed the original theory on the evolution of mankind. Later, we see a historic shearing shed made from local pine, put together without the use of a single nail! After lunch we travel to Pooncarie and then onto Menindee and the Maiden’s Hotel. The hotel hosted the leaders of the ill-fated Burke and Wills explorer party stayed here on the 23 September 1860. We continue to the ‘Silver City’, Broken Hill. For dinner and overnight.
