Discover Old Delhi’s legendary bazaars and New Delhi’s 19th century buildings. The narrow streets of Old Delhi are lined with shops, whose goods spill out onto the pavements. Visit the iconic Red Fort before strolling through the fascinating Chandni Chowk Bazaar to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India with a courtyard capable of holding 25,000 devotees. Stop briefly at India Gate, a moving memorial to the 90,000 Indian servicemen who died in World War I. Visit the Lakshmi Narayan Hindu Temple, one of Delhi’s major temples before visiting Humayun’s Tomb. Finally, visit the Connaught Place Markets for an opportunity to buy traditional homewares, jewellery, books, clothing, saris and beads.

Discover the historic city of Agra, the marble Tomb of Emperor Akbar and the famous Taj Mahal
Visit the marble Tomb of Emperor Akbar. Located on the outskirts of Sikandra in a peaceful garden, the tomb is believed to have been designed by Akbar and later modified and completed by his son Jahangair. Stay in the historic city of Agra. The city rose to fame in the medieval period as the capital of the Mughal Empire and was beautified with gardens, waterfalls, bathhouses and canals. Later, view the Taj Mahal in all its glory as the sun is rising. One of the most recognizable monuments in the world, the Taj Mahal is a white marble monument that was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between the years 1631 – 1648 in memory of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal who died in 1631. In the afternoon, you will visit a marble inlay workshop and explore Agra Fort.

Visit the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur, the Amer Fort, Chand Baori Stepwell and the Hawa Mahal
Explore the ancient capital city of Fatehpur Sikri, a city built by Emperor Akbar after it was prophesises that the then childless Akbar would have sons if he moved his capital to the site. Then, stop at Abhaneri Village and marvel at the outstanding 1,000 year old Chand Baori Stepwell. Continue to Jaipur, a city commonly known as the ‘Pink City’ because of the pink paint on all of the buildings in the old city area. Stop for a photo at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) in downtown Jaipur before travelling to the impressive Amer Fort. Built from yellow and pink sandstone and white marble, the fort was constructed in the 16th century by Raja Man Singh. Visit the Hall of Victory, which houses the famed Sheesh Mahal.
